Braves Series–We Left Our Offense In Our Other Pants

We’d love to dwell on the negative of this series, but that’s not what we’re about. So let’s just skip the pretenses and get on with the good times.

"You're just little."

-Chipper Jones gets a cup of coffee on the way to 2nd while Barney bats a ball around trying to make a flip to Castro. Thankfully, the latte machine was slow and they were able to get the out.

-Then Castro and Barney turned a really spiffy double play.

-Byrd attempts to break through his slump by smacking a homer.

-Samardzija and Russell both had some nice innings.

-Soriano with an unexpected, hustling, sliding double.

-Bob’s bird on third.

-Randy Wells giving up only two hits and not allowing a baserunner until the fourth.

-Geo getting drilled in the right leg/foot three times. It’s funny because he didn’t get seriously hurt.

-Matt Garza with a 90mph throw to first base for an out. Good thing Pena was prepared for that sort of thing.

-Castro and Campana stealing bases like oranges at a fruit stand in the 70’s.

-Ramirez going 5 for 5.

-Wells calling a balk on Derek Lowe. It’s like calling yourself safe in a way.

-Reed with double number 20 on the season. Not bad for a bench player.
