Nationals Series–Oh, Say Can You See That Win?

Despite Matt Garza being let down by the offense yet again and a particularly scary ride on the Marmol Coaster, the Cubs pulled out a series win and started yet another win streak (hopefully). Throw in a statue tribute to good ol’ Ron Santo, and there was a lot of good times to be had.

"I call this the dolphin stretch."

-The home runs continue with Castro, Geo, Reed, and Soriano going deep. Not to be outdone, Ramirez and Pena hit theirs back to back.

-Len and the Desmond 2-2 counts and the pain they caused Bob.

-Nice leaping catch by Byrd.

-Why were there retro people at the first game of the series?

-The abundance of Ron Santo memories.

-Soriano with an RBI triple, shocking everyone.

-Lester Strode flailing out of the way of a deflected ball in play. Twice.

-Reed going 4 for 4.

-Campana breaking up the no-hitter.

-Getting a win for Ronnie on his big night.

We miss you, #10.
