Reds Series–Leaving ’em Red Faced

The Cubs played well. The Reds did not. The win streak ended at seven, but it didn’t end on necessarily a bad note. It was a well played game. This series also featured another trip to Wrigley by Kiki in which she and her friends crashed a bachelor party. Fun things happened in section 517.

Fun things happened everywhere.

Tony Campana: Tiny Speed Demon

-Tony Campana with his first home run, which just so happened to be of the in the park variety.  It was only a matter of at bats.

– Biz Z going yard.

-Castro going yard.

-Colvin going yard.

-DeWitt going yard.

-Glad we don’t have to mow that kind of yard.

-Len and Bob discussing managers that wore cups. (Bob was one.)

-Campana with a terrific leaping catch.

-Byrd with a terrific diving catch.

-Randy Wells’s 7 pitch first inning. He needed that.

-The team’s 5-run inning. They needed that.

-The bullpen coming through and holding a tight game.

-Campana breaking up a double play with an awesome, clean slide.

-Kiki’s first Cubs win.

Go, Cubs, Go!
