Reds Series–A Walk-off High Point in the Middle

So the bad news is that the Reds won the series and Joey Votto went un-plunked for the duration (Note: Kiki has a vendetta here). The good news is that we got two quality starts from two pitchers that really needed them (Dempster and Coleman), a walk-off win in the middle, and Votto went oh-fer in the final game.

And there was some other fun, too.

We're going to Dairy Queen!

-Matt Garza got his first hit. That’s two pitchers in the same week. It’s always fun to witness this kind of first.

-Keith saying that place kickers aren’t really athletes and Pat, in subtle fashion, making sure that it was understood he didn’t share that opinion.

-The players wearing pink for moms. We love that tradition.

-Baker’s ground rule double. Always something new to see in this game.

-Len and Bob Eat Themselves to Death tour continues with a lot of loaded hot dogs.

-Another walk-off win celebration. It looked like Barney led the charge, first punching DeWitt in the solar plexis before mugging Fukudome. And then everyone piled on. We love those happy mosh pits.

Frustrating to lose a series at home to a division team! Pitching is much improved though!
