Rockies Series: Don’t Call It a Sweep (Yet)

The good news: the last game of the series got postponed on a account of rain that never happened. The bad news: just about everything else. The first game, the pitching was fine, but the defense was not. The second game, the pitching needed help and the offense couldn’t come through.

Also it was cold, rainy, and generally nasty out. Not good for baseball.

But that doesn’t mean there wasn’t fun to be had.

Slip and slide?

-Barney’s first homer. The little grin as he rounded second was fantastic.

-Jeff Baker being  better than you. He’s not just for lefties anymore.

-Fukudome going 5 for 5 and owning April once again.

-Len and Bob making fun of the guy wearing short sleeves in forty degree, rainy weather. There’s always one and this one was sitting a row behind a guy wearing a parka.

-Marlon Byrd’s sliding catch. With his bat on the cool side, it’s nice to see that his defense can still be a thrill.

-Quade using the Beard Twins together like old times.

Okay, maybe only Kiki thinks that last one is any fun.
